A newcomer to the Charleston art scene, Teresa Jones immersed herself in the scenery and architecture of this historic city. Although she has had a lifelong dream to paint, she only began her career in 2004 after moving to Charleston. Teresa is presently a student of local artist Elizabeth Bronson. She has also participated in workshops and classes with many locally and nationally known artists.

Teresa was born in the Upstate of South Carolina and has experienced both the rustic beauty of the region as well as the historic charm of the Lowcountry, incorporating both in her work. She now resides in Charleston, with her husband Roger.

Artist Statement

"My love of light and color, combined with nature and architecture, find there is a painting around every corner. Each one is truly unique and I never cease to learn from each painting. Looking for the unexpected gives a new perspective and freshness to my work. Presently a landscape painter, my goal is to pursue other genres to better express myself artistically."
